Zulu Review (1964) Classic Film | Michael Caine | Stanley Baker

A classic film review of the war movie Zulu (1964) starring Michael Caine, Stanley Baker, Ulla Jacobson, Jack Hawkins, James Booth and Nigel Green.

Zulu is the true story of the bravery of a small handful of British soldiers attacked by thousands of Zulu warriors at Rorkes Drift in 1879.

It shows how 150 British soldiers, many of whom were sick and wounded patients in a field hospital, successfully held off a force of 4,000 Zulu warriors.
This was Michael Caine’s breakout film role and was a passion project for star and producer Stanley Baker.

Zulu was first shown on the 85th anniversary of the actual battle, 22 January 1964, at the Plaza Theatre in the West End of London.
Narrated by Richard Burton, Zulu is discussed by Steven at Reel Classic Films Reviews, and highlights how the film has become a classic of the war movie genre.
