Ava DuVernay’s Peabody Award-winning narrative change collective ARRAY announced the launch of the ARRAY 101 THEY’VE GOTTA HAVE US Learning Companion. Available for free at ARRAY101.org, the initiative provides educational materials based on the limited series THEY’VE GOTTA HAVE US, created by Simon Frederick. This marks the fifth learning companion from ARRAY 101, having previously released guides for COLIN IN BLACK AND WHITE, SELMA, WHEN THEY SEE US and SANKOFA.
Featuring interviews with Hollywood trailblazers such as Whoopi Goldberg, Debbie Allen, and Laurence Fishburne, ARRAY Releasing’s THEY’VE GOTTA HAVE US is a timely look at the impact of art, activism, and race on decades of cinema. ARRAY’s new learning companion helps learners engage with topics around representation in storytelling and resistance in Hollywood with interactive activities. This digital curriculum is designed for learners of all ages.
